Wrapping up a very busy but beneficial BET Awards week, Christian Hip Hop artist J. Long seemed to arrive early and leave late. Landing in Los Angeles on Monday June 25, 2012 J. Long prepared for a week of interviews and exposure which was all too familiar but swiftly became unfamiliar territory as former Hip-Hopper of a platinum selling Hip Hop/R&B Group entered Los Angeles as a new coming Christian Hip Hop artist!
With little time to waste the day quickly arrived as J. Long prepared for a very important and very exclusive interview with mega entertainment online news portal Yahoo! Music. Conducted by Senior Content Producer Billy Johnson, Jr., J. Long was immediately humbled to find out that he was only the fourth Gospel/Christian artist to be interviewed for Yahoo! Music in its history.
J. Long went live on air with Carolyn Witcher on 111.3 FM Los Angeles, and then participated in a special interview with one of the highest rated syndicated radio shows on the B.T.R. Network, the Timothy Hodge Radio Show. Concluding such an exciting evening of interviews for this Christian artist newcomer, J. Long’s night only got even better when he was spotted by a very excited fan of his former work, who was surprised but pleased to find out about his crossover into gospel music.
A humbled J. Long awoke on Friday June 29, 2012 to have breakfast with Special Events Manager, Tonya Moore of BET. J. Long was also pleased to participate in an exclusive interview with BET.com on his new found success as a fresh Christian artist.
Falling into Saturday June 30, 2012 J. Long participated in a live interview and premiered his concept music video “Shake the Devil Off” on Legacy TV Networks, West Coast Prayze TV with Donna McAfee.
Sunday July 1, 2012 became an all day event for J. Long, he began with an intriguing interview with JCTV “Extreme Praise TV” highlighting his current work towards his Christian music debut. Because of J. Long’s hiatus from the red carpet he felt it to be rejuvenating knowing that he still may touch his fans through music but now actually have a positive message to deliver to listeners of all ages. J. Long has definitely made major noise during BET Awards Week and will continue to capture the world through his music and working towards becoming a recognizable name in Gospel.
J. Long will be making a promotional stop at the annual Gospel Music Workshop Of America in Nashville, TN, July 8-11 and will release his concept music video “Shake The Devil Off” next week.
