On August 4th, Chicago Mass Choir served as the guest choir for the Opening Assembly for the American Bar Association Annual Meeting at the historic Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Chicago Mass Choir was honored to sing during several important segments during the ABA Opening Assembly Annual meeting.
The American Bar Association requested that Chicago Mass Choir sing, “The National Anthem”, “Sweet Home Chicago”, “Lean On Me” and “Oh When the Saints” throughout the Open Assembly. Chicago Mass Choir opened up the assembly with “The National Anthem” and they were joined by The Chicago Police Honor Guard, while singing the national anthem.
One of the highlights of the meeting occurred when Chicago Mass Choir sang “Lean On Me” prior to the introduction of the keynote speaker, Senator Lindsey Graham. The ABA Annual meeting was also attended by the Board of Governors, Officers and International Guests. The Open Assembly concluded on a high note with Chicago Mass Choir singing “Oh When The Saints”.
Chicago Mass Choir President, Dr. Feranda Williamson expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, “It was truly an exciting experience to be a part of the American Bar Association’s Annual Assembly. Whenever we are given opportunities to spread the Good News through our Gospel Music; it is an honor!”
