Bryan Wilson to Appear at Thanksgiving Gospel/Praise Showcase

Gospel star Bryan Wilson is making his way to York, Pennsylvania for The Everyday is Thanksgiving Gospel/Praise Showcase. Salt of the Earth Productions launched the event last year to give York area youth, where 1 in 3 18-24 year old veterans is unemployed, are facing new hope and inspiration by bringing motivational speakers and inspiring musicians to this event.

Wilson will be backed by Mark Walker & Team of Musicians. Walker will also perform his own set. Dr. Darlene Garlington, who has appeared on “Good Morning America” and “The Montel Williams Show,” will provide a motivational speech for the kids. Also appearing on the program will be Diane Hooker, Arlo K. Allen Jr., Gospel rapper Vision, rising artist Naveah. The free concert takes place Saturday, November 19, 2011 @ 6:00 p.m. at the Valencia Ballroom, 142 N. George Street, York, PA 17401.

The singer rose to fame for recording his soulful, melismatic rendition of “His Eye is on the Sparrow” with the Mississippi Children’s Choir in 1994 when he was ten years old. He erecorded two Dove and Stellar Award nominated CDs for Malaco Records before launching his own Bryan’s Songs label to release his own music in 2008. Aside from releasing his critically-acclaimed “A Second Coming” CD that year, Wilson has been featured on Top Ten CDs such as Time Life Music’s “Shoutin’ Down The Aisles,” “Love’s Holiday” alongside Alicia Keys and Christina Aguilera and “Encouraged.”

Wilson’s new single “Expect You Now” will be released in January 2012. The smooth song of worship is featured on the current Top 10 CD “Coco Brother Presents Gospel Mix V” on Blacksmoke Gospel Worldwide. Wilson’s next CD, “And It’s Over,” is scheduled to be released in March/April 2012.
