It looks like Bishop T.D. Jakes wasn’t too happy about what he saw on the premiere of Oxygen’s “Preachers of L.A.” last week, According to reports, Bishop Jakes dissed the reality show, calling it “junk” and distancing himself from the stars’ blinged-out images and flamboyance.
“Now, I know you been watching that junk on TV,” Bishop Jakes said, criticizing the new reality series. “I want to tell you right now, not one dime of what you’re sowing right now will buy my suit. I want you to know my car is paid for. I want you to know I got my house on my own. I want you to know I’m not bling-blinging. I am not shake and bake. I had money when I came to Dallas and I plan to have some when I leave”.

AMEN! I was left speechless after watching the show; why would they want to be portrayed in such a negative way.

One of the most sickening things I’ve heard of since becoming saved, and I’ve been saved all of my 52 years of living. I’m not “so heavenly minded that I’m no earthly good,” or too “deep” to relate to “regular” folks or anything like that. But this is just straight up some foolishness. Can’t believe that this is what the Christian world has come to. And we wonder why we can’t draw folks to Christ for REAL, and really make a difference in the world for GOOD!! They’ll never get a single minute of their viewership ratings from me watching them!!!
