With the success of their Top 10 Billboard Chart CD release Bishop Jerry Maynard Presents The Cathedral Of Praise Choir, and Top 30 Billboard Gospel Radio single “Just Believe”, Bishop Maynard and his award-winning choir have released a new single “Get To That Place” which features the signature vocals of former Thompson Community Singers and Chicago Mass Choir vocalist PAM CRAWFORD. After many years away from the spotlight of gospel music, Pam returns with a powerful new song and will be featured with The Cathedral of Praise Choir on their summer concert tour dates.
Pamela R. Crawford, native of Chicago, IL, was led to join the world renowned Rev. Milton Brunson and the Thompson Community Singers in 1987 where she recorded noted songs “Keep Holding On”, Don’t Stop Praying” and re-recorded “Safe in His Arms”. In 1990, while attending the ECC Music Workshop, she was asked to record “I Can Go to the Rock” with The Chicago Mass Choir. The song won Song of the Year at the GMWA Convention that same year. She also recorded, “Lift the Savior Up”, “Nobody like Jesus” and many others.
In 2004, God transitioned Pam to Nashville, TN where she presently is a member of Cathedral of Praise COGIC and is now featured on the new single “Get To That Place”. “I wrote the song as a result of a question God asked me,” Pam shares. “I was having a tough time in my walk with God and was trying to find my place. God ask me what would it take to make me happy and to satisfy me,” she continues. “I knew I had to get that place that God called me to and the song is a response of me saying yes to HIS will.”
Pam wrote “Get To That Place” in 2000 and tried to place the song but she continued to get rejected. She presented the song to Bishop Jerry Maynard and it has become a stand-out track on the project and has set a dynamic re-entry back into the music industry for Pam Crawford and her signature vocals.
Bishop Maynard and The Cathedral of Praise Choir will continue on their summer tour with stops in Baltimore, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Memphis, Muncie, St. Louis and Detroit. For more information, visit www.bishopmaynard.com.
