As we are approaching October which is observed across the country as Breast Cancer awareness month-we also have a very important observance for this month which affects many of our young women across the world, Domestic Violence awareness. Within the last few months, the Saving Our Daughters Yell for Confidence program has been in full affect as the initiative has addressed some of these horrific issues to include national PSA’s and Lunch N Learn discussion sessions with selected artist.
Starting in October, the organization will step in the arena for single moms and will team up with BET Sunday Best 2009 overall winner, and Gospel sensation, Y’Annna Crawley.
Y’Anna will be joining the Saving Our Daughters family to represent the organization as a Powerful & Influential ADVOCATE for (health/wellness/fitness, single moms, as well as women/teens who suffer with their identity and low self esteem) The Y’Anna BraND.. will also focus on a special national campaign series for young women across the country.
Chief Executive Officer of Saving Our Daughters, Curtis Benjamin says “We are so excited concerning this new direction for our organization, and we would like to thank Ms. Jennifer S. Drake Director Membership / Rhythm & Soul and Ms. Joncier Rienecker, Associate Membership Representative, Rhythm & Soul Group of ASCAP who put us together.
Y’Anna will be also joining Grammy singer, Monica and musical icons such as Towanda, Trina and Traci Braxton also from their Hit show The Braxton Family Values, who also supports Saving Our Daughters.
