(Philadelphia, PA) – October 20, 2010 – Traditional gospel music has a “realness” and a sincerity that makes it pure and honest. Conrad Miller is a lover of that time-honored style of gospel music and has been singing it for years. In an energy-filled, yet spirited presentation, he has performed recently at the Virginia and North Carolina Gospel Announcers Guild Conventions (part of the Gospel Music Workshop of America), as well as the annual Luther Barnes Fall Classic in Rocky Mount, NC, to impressive reviews. Fans are loving songs like “Amazing”, “Breathe On Me”, and “Momma Prayed For Me”, all of which come from the artist’s debut release, My Journey. The project, produced by GRAMMY, Dove and Stellar Award winner Steven Ford, is a collection of musical testimonials penned by the artist himself.
Having received airplay on almost 300 stations nationwide on his previous singles from the project, now the singer is releasing another single called “From Here Through Eternity”. The relaxed, yet inspirational cut about God’s guidance and his companionship from this life to the next is a bit of soul mixed with a bit of traditional gospel. It’s a celebration of the roots of sacred music familiar to the African American experience.
The soulful singer has been receiving rave reviews from the media. “The lyrics may be grounded in personal faith, but the songs on My Journey sound as if they were pulled off old vinyl records”, stated The Black Gospel Blog. Gospelflava.com says,”From start to finish, the album remains true to the classic R&B/gospel feel of years gone by that is rarely heard in today’s music.” And The Intelligencer, Miller’s hometown newspaper focused on him in their article “Vocational Passion” where they said, “With Miller’s warm, smooth vocals, and the disc’s melodic uncluttered arrangements, the songs speak to God as both salvation and consolation.”
