Following a successful launch of his nonprofit organization Elihu Nation earlier this year in his native Chicago, acclaimed GRAMMY® nominated artist Jonathan McReynolds is launching the Elihu Nation Scholarship, comprising a total of $9,000 in scholarships to be awarded to college students, with three scholarships available at $3,000 each. Kicking off June 1st, the application process for the Elihu Nation Scholarship will be open at www.ElihuNation.org to submit applications from June 1st to July 31st.
Available to college juniors, seniors, and grad students nationwide, the Elihu Nation Scholarship celebrates “Elihus” in school. An “Elihu” are defined as a young carrier and seeker of godly wisdom based on the character in Job 32, with the Elihu Nation Scholarship to support these students and drive the mission of empowering the Kingdom’s future worship leaders, thinkers, pastors, preachers, artists, musicians and leaders.
Creating Elihu Nation for the young generation to find a deeper connection to the wisdom of God, the Elihu Nation Scholarship marks Jonathan McReynolds’ overall approach to reaching back and connecting audiences to God. Not only continuing to remain busy touring throughout this year in support of his chart-topping sophomore album Life Music: Stage Two, Jonathan McReynolds – who received his Master’s Degree in Applied Biblical Studies and also has been teaching music at his alma mater Columbia College Chicago – continues to extend his commitment to supporting higher education launching these endeavors with the three Elihu Nation Scholarships.
