GRAMMY® Award nominated, Gospel Music Association’s Dove Award and Stellar Award winner Kierra Sheard will join other gospel recording artists for the 27th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards and other events and activities scheduled during Stellar Award Weekend.
On Friday morning, January 13, Kierra will perform at the EMI Showcase “On The Horizon,” along with EMI Gospel recording artists VaShawn Mitchell, Smokie Norful, Myron Butler, foreverJONES, and Anita Wilson. After attending the BMI 13th Annual Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards honoring Kirk Franklin and Bishop Hezekiah Walker, in the evening, she will perform, along with her BRL (Bold! Right! Life!) Choir, at the 27th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards Preshow. Later that same evening, Kierra and BRL will also perform at the Bonnerfide Radio Anniversary Celebration, hosted by Myron Butler and DeWayne Woods, along with other special guest artists: Fred Hammond, Isaac Carree, among others. The Bonnerfide Radio Anniversary event will be held at Limelight Entertainment, 20 Woodland Street, Nashville, TN.
On Saturday, January 14, Kierra will be one of the special guest performers at the ASCAP Presents: Morning Glory event honoring her mother, gospel legend Karen Clark Sheard. Later than evening, both mother and daughter will present together at the 27th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards. And on Sunday, January 15, Kierra and other artists will minister in song at a worship service hosted by CeCe Winans at the Born Again Church.
Karew (pronounced: Kuh-rue) Records is gearing up to enter the second phase of promotions for Kierra’s current, CD project, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart and currently remains in the Top 15. Free is produced by Kierra’s brother JDrew Sheard II (JDS). The label is servicing a sampler to radio featuring her current single “You Are” along with three other songs, including a remake of Chris Tomlin’s praise ballad “Indescribable;” the fired up “Victory” featuring James Fortune; and “Lane” featuring JDrew Sheard II (JDS). Following the Stellar Awards Weekend, Kierra will continue with her HBCU college tour and other concert dates, to be announced in the coming weeks.
