Having emerged triumphant earlier this year, taking home ‘Best Gospel Act’ at the MOBO Awards 2024, Limo continues to cement his position as a ‘one to watch’ star. His new track doesn’t fall short of exceptional talent, while delivering a fresh take on the afrobeat genre that aims to inspire confidence and purpose within his fast-growing legion of fans.
His 2022 track ‘Jireh (My Provider)‘, was an instant viral sensation, propelling it onto three Billboard charts, including the US Afrobeat Chart, Hot Christian Songs, and reaching #15 on the Gospel Song Chart. Fans should expect nothing less from this next release, with the track teaser already racking up over 23,000 uses on TikTok.
His signature lyrical flow and mesmerising melodies defines his unique blend of afrobeats and gospel, alongside an uncanny ability to engage the younger generation with conscious lyricism. Building on a stellar year in 2023, where he was also recognised as one of Tidal’s rising artists to watch, ‘Good God II’ takes its place as the second instalment of 2021 release ‘Good God’. “My vision is to use music as a platform that empowers young people through the gospel, and grant them the tools and guidance to help realise their dreams,” says Limoblaze.
Limoblaze continues to push boundaries with no signs of slowing down. As he sets his sights on the rest of 2024, ‘Good God II’ is the first of a fresh batch of singles, with a new album expected later this year.
Limoblaze is the product of Atlanta-based record label Reach Records, which has been integral to his rise to prominence since signing in 2021. Other Reach Records artists include GRAMMY-winning Lecrae, as well as chart-topping and RIAA certified platinum artists, Andy Mineo, Hulvey, Tedashii, Trip Lee, 1K Phew, Wande and WHATUPRG.
