There are singing sibling acts who have made an everlasting impact in Gospel and Christian music. Sibling duo groups Dawkins & Dawkins, Mary Mary, Anointed, and BeBe & CeCe Winans have delivered hit songs and albums and have won an impressive heap of music awards. A new brother and sister duo called Tichenor is making a strong entrance into Gospel music with a fresh vibe and fresh music.
Although new as a duo group, Gregory Tichenor and Denise Tichenor are no strangers to music. Gregory’s background includes being a professional R&B artist and former member in the group Dos of Soul on Def Jam Records under mogul Russell Simmons. Denise is noted as a featured singer with Kurt Carr and the Kurt Carr Singers and as a former lead singer on BET‘s Bobby Jones Gospel TV show. Her vocal skills can also be heard on many projects including albums by John P. Kee and Dr. Leonard Scott. In 2019, Gregory and Denise felt God tugging their hearts to join forces to begin sharing music in ministry together as Tichenor.
Tichenor has combined their individual unique vocal stylings into a harmonious and soulfully fluid musical experience. The duo has released their debut single “I Trust You Lord – Step By Step” that is the perfect mix of Gregory’s smooth crooning and Denise’s powerful churchy bravura.

Tichenor’s “I Trust You Lord – Step By Step” is written by Gregory, Denise, and hit songwriter Lamar Campbell. The song is produced and arranged by Dennis Atkinson (Virtue, John P. Kee, Da’T.R.U.T.H.) and is available on all digital music outlets now.
Tichenor has also released the official music video for “I Trust You Lord – Step By Step” on YouTube. The music video is directed by Will Thomas who creatively captures Tichenor’s natural talent and enthusiasm for music alongside a storyline to inspire one’s faith to trust God during uncertain and challenging times.
In addition to their own music, Tichenor is bringing more great Gospel music to the public through their own radio show. Tichenor’s Grown Folk Gospel Radio Show airs every Sunday at 2:30PM on Praize Power 1240AM WLLV in Louisville, KY.
