This past weekend, Billboard No.1 independent recording artist, songwriter and producer Bryan Popin was honored for his chart-topping hit gospel song “I Got Out” at ASCAP’s signature urban music event, the 31st Annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards in Los Angeles at the The Beverly Wilshire.
“I Got Out” was the second single from Popin’s 2017 released Billboard No.1 sophomore project I GOT OUT (Little Boy Wonder/Flaydo Music/Fuel Music). The single reached No. 4 on Billboard Gospel Airplay chart and spent over 20 weeks in the Top 10. The song has earned Popin numerous award nominations and recognitions.
The A-list audience of celebrities included Jermaine Dupri, Migos, XSCAPE, 2 Chainz, Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, Jeremih, Meek Mill, Mark “Sounwave” Spears, Yo Gotti, Priscilla Renea, DeJ Loaf, Supa Dups, Amber “Sevyn” Streeter, Christian “Hitmaka” Ward, Brandy, Tamar Braxton, Serayah, Rotimi and Kevin Gates, among others.
