To provide a solution to the needs that plague their local community, The Valiant Church has announced its inaugural community day on July 1, 2017. Lead by Pastor DeVaughn Kelly, the church– located at 15630 W. 7 Mile Rd in Detroit, MI– will set aside a day to host “The Great Giveaway.” The event will take place from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. or while supplies last.
In an effort to cater to the community’s needs, the ministry has collected household items over the past year to distribute as bundles throughout the surrounding community. Household bundles will include full sized name brand cleaners, bar soaps, dish soaps, laundry detergents, paper goods, toothpaste, shampoos and more.
“Our ministry believes in the revitalization of the city, most importantly of our neighborhoods. One way to play our part in the growth of the city of Detroit is meeting the needs of the individuals within our community,” says Founder and Pastor DeVaughn Kelly. “We hope that our giveaway will instill hope and spark change within the lives of families impacted.”
Residents who would benefit from the free household giveaway are asked to arrive as early as 9 a.m.. Household item bundles are distributed on a first come, first served basis. There will be one bundle per household, per attendee.
In addition to the giveaway, The Valiant Church will be providing free hotdogs and a bounce house for the children. Prayer stations will also be available.
