Last Saturday, while many of us were preparing for Mother’s Day, Deitrick Haddon experienced a terrible lost in his family. The Gospel Singer, Preacher and Reality Star made a FaceBook status sharing the news that his grandmother, Jimmie Lee Laster, passed away.
We send our condolences to all of the family, friends and loved ones. According to Deitrick’s post, Grandma Jimmie lived a long, loving life, reaching 94 years of age. May she rest in peace. Check out the FaceBook status from Deitrick below:
Today our family lost the most important woman to us all..My grandmother Jimmie Lee Laster! She raised 8 kids as a single parent & lived to see 94!!When I was a kid she convinced me to go to 12noon prayer with her daily by promising me lemon ice cream. It was during those times God called me to the ministry at the age of 10! Thank you grandma. You knew something that I didn’t know but you were wise enough to use ice cream to put me on the right path!! You will be missed but never forgotten!
