The 2012 Rhythm Of Gospel Awards were handed out on July 28 in Jacksonville, FL. Nashville contemporary gospel vocalist Dr. Mark Williams brought home three awards: Worship/Praise Artist of the Year, Praise and Worship Song of the Year (for “The King of Glory”), and Male Traditional Vocalist of the Year. Dr. Williams was honored with the awards for his current CD EVERYTHING.
EVERYTHING, produced by award winning producers Roger Ryan and Daniel Weatherspoon, contains energetic praise songs, soulful ballads and jazz flavored tracks. Dr. Mark Williams, who is also a worship leader at Oasis Church in Nashville, captures the essence of pure worship that is engaging audiences in a powerful musical experience. The title cut “Everything” is a smooth jazz tune with alluring vocals reminiscent of Will Downing, while the project’s gospel radio hit and award winning “The King Of Glory” has become an uplifting praise anthem.
