Unfortunately, Gospel Legend and Father of Modern Gospel, Andrae’ Crouch, was taken to the hospital over the weekend to receive medical attention. We ask that you all include him and the Crouch family in your prayers, that he make a speedy recovery from his current health condition. Specific details about his health complications weren’t released, however, his twin sister, Sandra Crouch, did give an official statement. Check out her quote below:
On Saturday, January 3rd, my brother, Andrae’ Crouch, was taken to the hospital so that medical staff could more directly address some serious health complications that had arisen. At this time, Andrae’ is being attended to by a medical team, and we are so grateful for their wonderful care. We are also so grateful for the many thousands of people around the world who are praying for Andrae’ right now. We ask for your continued prayer – that Andrae’ will respond positively to the medical attention being given to him at this time, and that he will fully recover from this current health complication.
Prayerfully Andrae’ will recover in time for his All-Star Tribute Tour, “Let The Church Say Amen”, which is scheduled to kick off March 20th in Birmingham, Alabama. The tour features guest performances by some of Gospel’s top artists, including CeCe Winans, Marvin Winans, Israel Houghton, DeLeon Richards, Marcus Cole, Keith Staten, Vonnie Lopez, Leon Timbo and jazz artist Gerald Albright among others. The nationwide tour hits 10 major markets for its initial run, with more dates to be announced.
“I am excited that the tour will go on and I am honored that Mano Hanes and such an incredible group of singers would take the time to pay tribute to me. To God Be The Glory for the things He has and continues to do,” says Crouch.
