Comprised of ten real life siblings, THE SHOWERS are the latest family collective to take the gospel music industry by storm. Quickly likened to the genre’s prized family acts such as The Winans, The Hawkins and more, the Louisiana natives are rising high with their second radio single “Better” (written and produced by Deon Kipping) cracking the MediaBase Gospel Radio Chart Top 40.
The tune has garnered growing acclaim from fellow gospel artists, industry tastemakers, and listeners since its Top 30 debut on iTunes Christian/Gospel Chart. Layered in the family group’s full harmonies and heart-tugging vocals, the song shines for its lyrics that tell chronicle every Christian’s desire to be more like Christ and to simply be better.
“Better” is the follow-up radio single to the group’s first single “Praise Your Way Through” that peaked in the Top 30 on the Mediabase Gospel Radio Chart. The success of their singles garnered the group high profile performances and appearances on the nationally televised “Bobby Jones Gospel Show” on BET, ‘Gospel Goes to Hollywood Oscar event’, ‘I Hear Music In the Air Concert’ and an upcoming appearance on the WORD Network.
The Showers will release a concept music video of “Better” in the coming month and will continue promoting the single across the country. Their self-titled national debut album will release in 2015 on their family owned independent label A&P Records.
“Better” is available on iTunes and the official lyric video (over 65,000 views) can be viewed and shared on youtube.
