One of Bishop Hawkins’ renowned clichés in “Where Is Your Faith” is “I am not moved by what I see, I am not moved by my circumstance, I am only moved in faith by the Word of God!” Bishop Hawkins uses that cliché each Sunday as a declaration before his messages.

How does a Bishop go from preaching the Word of God to writing hit songs for the kingdom? Bishop Hawkins answer is straightforward. “Preachers often make the best songwriters because of their weekly preparation of the Word of God,” Hawkins said. “Week in and week out, sermons on love, faith, and worship are taught to the members of Voices of Faith to inspire and bring them closer to God.”
“Live In Worship” was recorded live on June 7, 2014, in Conyers, Georgia. The recording took place at Voices of Faith Ministries, a 2,000-seat sanctuary. This is the church’s second of eight locations. The “Live in Worship” album was produced by Reggie Croslan and Jyrin Cox. Bishop Gary Hawkins was the Executive Producer. The vocal arrangement and direction came from the anointed Rachel James, owner of The Bridge, Hooks, and Stuff Company. The “Live In Worship” album is phenomenal! The Voices of Faith Band is sensational! Their musical gifts are without peer. There is something for everyone from the toddler to the senior citizen. Songs of worship, praise, faith, and encouragement will send you into a musical blitz. The single, “Where Is Your Faith” will inspire your faith to trust God. “We Lift Your Name Higher” will take you to a heavenly place to worship God. “You Are Lord” will cause the entire church to rise and praise God. “Amazing God” will leave you wanting more of God. “He’s In Control” will remind you that God is all you need. “Have Your Way, Please Your Heart, and Release” are songs of worship and praise. If you want to spend some quiet time with God these songs will send you behind the veil. “Have Your Way” asks God to come in and use the worshipper anyway He wants to. This song has major crossover potential. “Please Your Heart” wants you to seek the heart of God. “Release” speaks of the Holy Spirit pouring out on them for the kingdom sake.
Along with the first single, “Where Is Your Faith”, Bishop Hawkins wrote his second of three songs, “You Kept Me.” Bishop’s handprint is all over “You Kept Me.” It was written from his pain. Everyone will be able to relate to “You Kept Me.” It will bring tears to your eyes and remind you how God kept you from all hurt, harm and danger. The last of the three songs Bishop Hawkins wrote, “In The Right Place” is a song of worship that will bring joy and happiness to your heart that favor has entered your house. As believers, it is so important for us to be “In The Right Place” for a move of God.
When Bishop Hawkins is not busy as a songwriter and producer, he is the founding pastor and Overseer of Voices of Faith Ministries, one church in eight locations, seven in Georgia – Stone Mountain, Conyers, Lovejoy, Gainesville, Suwanee, Covington, and Loganville and one in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Voices of Faith has seen its membership grow from seventy-five to more than ten thousand members in only twenty years and has been recognized by Church Growth Magazine as the twenty-fifth fastest growing church in America. Bishop Hawkins is a graduate of Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia, Georgia where he received his Master in Theology.
Consecrated as a bishop in November 2005, Bishop Hawkins was recognized by The Church Report Magazine as one of the top twenty-five leaders to watch. Bishop Hawkins served as a host, as well, appeared as a regular guest on the TBN Praise the Lord broadcast. He has authored eleven life-changing books. In addition to his dynamic style of preaching a simplistic Word, Bishop Hawkins is known for his “Marketing Your Church for Growth” leadership conference, which has now become a marketing tour. A plethora of pastors have sent testimonies of how his out-of-the-box approach to ministry has impacted them for kingdom growth.
He empowers pastors, leaders and entrepreneurs by teaching biblical principles that push them into another dimension of kingdom building. Out of his passion for reaching God’s people, he birthed the Eagles Nest Ministry, through which he serves as a spiritual father and mentor to a great number of senior pastors.
Bishop Hawkins was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is happily married to his best friend, the beautiful Lady Pamela Hawkins. Together, they are the proud parents of five handsome young men, Gary Jr., Kalen, Dwight, Brandon and Garrison.
