Motown Gospel Earns 11 Stellar Award Nominations

The 33rd Annual Stellar Award nominations were announced today in Chicago in a live streaming event featuring Tasha Cobbs Leonard and Anthony Brown. Premiere Gospel label Motown Gospel received 11 nominations across several categories.
The label celebrates a first-time nominee this year. Gospel/soul singer Gene Moore secured a nomination in the New Artist of the Year category and was recognized for his work on his debut album, “The Future.” R&B icon Kenny Lattimore, garnered his second Stellar Award nod for his exceptional Christmas album, “A Kenny Lattimore Christmas,” in the Special Event CD of the Year category.
Tasha Cobbs Leonard racked up nine nominations and received the most nods by a female artist this year, including Artist of the Year, CD of the Year, Contemporary CD of the Year, Praise & Worship CD of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and Contemporary Female Vocalist of the Year.
Her smash single, “I’m Getting Ready,” which she recently performed on Good Morning America to rave reviews, gained her a nomination for Urban/Inspirational Song of the Year. She, along with her husband, producer, and music director Kenneth Leonard, Jr., collected a nomination for Producer of the Year, while the project also received a nod for Recorded Music Packaging of the Year.

The 33rd Annual Stellar Awards will be taped March 24 in Las Vegas, NV and will be televised nationally on TV One Network.
