UPDATE: Bishop Eddie Long’s Wife Begins Process For A Divorce, Then Changes Her Mind

Apparently the inevitable has occurred regarding Bishop Eddie Long’s marriage. His wife, Vanessa Long, has decided to end their marriage. In what may come as a surprise to no one, she is no longer interested in continuing a relationship with the megachurch pastor. According to WSBTV.com, she said she filed for divorce Thursday and hopes it will move along smoothly.

The famed DeKalb County megachurch preacher, Eddie Long, was accused of sexual involvement with young men. Allegedly, this is the main cause for his wife to file for divorce. “After a great deal of deliberation and prayer, I have decided to terminate my marriage to Bishop Eddie L. Long,” Long’s wife, Vanessa, said.

“I ask that you respect my privacy and that of my family, as my attorneys and I have agreed that we will not try this case in the media, and I do not intend to make any further statements concerning this matter,” she said. “I also ask that the public pray for my entire family during this difficult period of transition.”

In June, Bishop Long’s church, New Birth Missionary Baptist, denied rumors that his wife was moving out. The previous month, Long reached a settlement with four men who accused him of sexual abuse. They said Long, their former preacher, coerced them into sexual acts with gifts and money.

Only God knows, and Bishop Long knows what truly happened in this situation. his Wife, its between her and God. Satan always have tried everything to split up families. Thats his goal. It’s not up to us to say or judge what happened in this matter. but if the guys that accused him, lied on the bishop, their fate is worse than death, for they have to stand before God’s throne on judgement day.
