Investigators were reportedly considering the possibility that Tims might have died from a drug overdose.
The minister, who was in town for a speaking engagement, was found on the floor of his hotel room. Sources close to the investigation told the New York Daily News that a glassine envelope of white powder was found in Tims’ right pants pocket.
Church administrators have not commented on the suspicious substance found on Tims, but Bishop T.D. Jakes, who delivered the minister’s eulogy during his Aug. 21 funeral, insinuated that Tims struggled with personal problems.
In the eulogy, Jakes compared Tims to Jacob from the Bible, whom God renamed Israel.
“I thought I was the only one who knew how unhappy Zach was, how broken he was, how afraid he was if anybody was to see any flaw in him,” Jakes said. “He tried hard to heal himself, to fix himself … I don’t know what happened in that room in New York, but I can only hope that as Zach was dying, Dr. Tims stood up.”

This is a sad story for this preacher! One thing that is evident from this post is that Dr.Tims had people around him who “supposedly” knew the Word of God; yet, they allowed him to try and “heal and fix himself” FOR YEARS. This is why we have a Savior, JESUS CHRIST! Pastor Zach Tims should have been told by his “self-proclaiming” Believers of Christ “friends” to SIT DOWN from preaching/teaching and allow God to work on his heart. Why was he still preaching and teaching in his “ungodly state”? Why would those close to him not tell him to acquire a period of “stillness in God” in which the Holy Spirit could do His work in Zach’s life? Everyone in Christ goes through personal battles and struggles which is why God said, “MY POWER IS MADE PERFECT IN YOUR WEAKNESS”(2 Corinthians 12:9). Thus, it is apparent that if one seeks God or is GUIDED to seek God by stronger Christians, God is faithful to provide strength to overcome those life hardships.
Words to live by:
The people you embrace and pull close to your bosom daily will either make you stronger in Christ or weaken (if not break) your fellowship with Christ!

I pray that the report remains a secret. The media is so quick to get the BIG STORY! We don’t need to know. Pastor Zach has gone on so now let’s pray for his ex-wife and children!

God never heals what is not revealed. Secrets have always gotten all of us in trouble, because the word is clear, be sure my sins will find me out!
I pray in Rev Tims last moments he called out to the Lord with honesty and truth, because the truth always and I do mean always comes out! !esus said only the “truth” sets men free!
