Atlanta-based Bishop and Gospel Singer, William Murphy, was arrested Wednesday afternoon for allegedly taking a gun to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
According to reports, Bishop Murphy was carrying a handgun in his carry-on luggage when a TSA official discovered the weapon during an X-ray screening. Bishop Murphy does have a license to carry permit which allows him to legally possess a firearm, but not in his luggage while boarding a plane.
Bishop Murphy was charged with misdemeanor possession of a weapon in an unauthorized area. He appeared in court Thursday, where the judge set his bond at $2,500. He could face civil penalties of up to $7,500, according to Channel 2 Action News.

What a Knuckle-head!!! His permit should be revoked. You can’t be that “forgetfull” with a weapon. What if he forgets to keep the safety on?????? This also shows how careless he is, the weapon was LOADED plus he had 10 rounds, and he FORGOT! PLEASE, have a seat “BISHOP’!
