Week of March 31, 2012 Billboard Top Gospel Albums Chart: WOW Gospel 2012 Returns to #1, Flame’s The 6th Drops to #10

Wow! There are a lot of surprising changing to the lineup of top 10 Gospel Albums this week. With the exception of one change that I predicted last week, if you follow my chart updates you’ll know what I’m talking about.

The most noticeable change is Flame’s latest project The 6th, which debuted at #1, dropping to #10. As I predicted, WOW Gospel 2012 returns to #1 after a brief hiatus. Also, the greatest gainer this week is Top 25 Gospel Songs 2012 Edition, a compilation album, by Maranatha! Gospel jumping 11 spots to #7.

The Sunday Best and Music World Gospel ladies are holding their own on the charts with Andrea Helms’ Moving Forward at #5 and Le’Andria Johnson’s The Evolution of Le’Andria Johnson at #8 and The Awakening of Le’Andria Johnson at #9.

James Fortune & FIYA’s Identity is slowly making its way back to #1 reaching #2 this week. Fred Hammond’s God, Love & Romance makes a small climb to #3, followed by LeCrae’s Rehab jumping four spots to #4 after being on Billboard for 77 weeks.  Finally, completing the top 10 is William McDowell with Arise: The Live Worship Experience at #6, after peaking at #1.
