Week of June 16, 2012 Billboard Top Gospel Albums Chart: Mary Mary Still Reigns at #1, Andrae Crouch Makes Huge Jump, Zacardi Cortez’s Surprising Drop

While Mary Mary still holds on to the #1 spot with Go Get It, I was impressed to see Andrae Crouch’s The Journey jump from #20 to #9 this week. James Fortune & FIYA also returns to the top 10 at #8 with Identity.

Marvin Sapp climbs the chart again reaching #2 with I Win, while the Joyful Noise Soundtrack jumps to #3 from #5. Jason Nelson, who debuted at #3, makes a small drop to #4 this week with his latest album, Shifting The Atmosphere.

Arise: The Live Worship Experience by William McDowell is #5 after 30 weeks on the chart, followed by WOW Gospel 2012 remaining at #6. Surprisingly, Zacardi Cortez’s highly anticipated album, The Introduction, drops to #7, after debuting at #2. I was sure that Cortez would have spent more time at the top of the chart. Finally, JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise remains at #10 with After This.
