Week of July 16, 2011 Billboards Top Gospel Songs: Kirk Franklin Declares #1 Spot As His Home

In the world of radio, there haven’t been any significant changes. The most notable change in the top 10 is Mary Mary’s “Walking” drop from #6 to #9.

Kirk Franklin’s “I Smile” remains at #1 this week, followed by Trin-i-tee 5:7 featuring PJ Morton’s “Over & Over” at #2. VaShawn Mitchell’s “Nobody Greater” jumps to #3, while “My Heart Says Yes,” by Troy Sneed drops to #4. Deitrick Haddon closes out the top five with “Well Done” remaining at #5.

“I Give Myself Away (Live)” by William McDowell jumps from #7 to #6, followed by Marvin Sapp’s  ”He Has His Hands On You” at #7. “I Believe” by James Fortune & FIYA featuring Zacardi Cortez & Shawn McLemore jumps to #8, followed by Mary Mary’s “Walking” at #9.

Finally, Earnest Pugh’s “I Need Your Glory” remains at #10, however his album “Earnesty Yours” debuts at #1 this week. Hopefully, “I Need Your Glory” will climb the charts to match the success of the album, unless the release of a new single is being planned.
