Byron Cage, who according to himself no longer wants to be known as “The Prince of Praise”, debuts at #3 this week with his new album, Memoirs Of A Worshipper. JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise returns to the top 10 with After This at #11.
Of course Charles Jenkins & Fellowship Chicago remains at #1 with The Best Of Both Worlds. Pastor Jenkins is also number on Billboard’s Top Gospel Songs Chart with the new Christian Anthem, “Awesome”.
Mary Mary holds on to #2 with Go Get It, while Byron Cage’s debut pushes Marvin Sapp down to #4 with I Win. Andrae Crouch’s The Journey is #5, and has the longest run on the chart out of all the other albums in the top 10. Arise: The Live Worship Experience by William McDowell drops one spot to #6 and WOW Gospel 2012 follow suit, dropping one spot to #7.
James Fortune’s recent legal issues haven’t effected his position on the chart, as his album, Identity, with FIYA remains at #8. Finally, concluding the top 10 this week is the Joyful Noise Soundtrack at #10.
