Week of April 14, 2012 Billboard Top Gospel Albums Chart: JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise Debuts at #1, Jessica Reedy & Kirk Franklin Re-Enter Top 10

This week on the chart we see a few changes, including a new debut at #1! JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise debuts at #1 with their brand new album, After This, ending WOW Gospel 2012’s reign at the top of the chart, making it #2 this week. Also, we have two albums re-entering the top 10, Kirk Franklin’s Hello Fear is #9 after 54 weeks on the chart and Sunday Best Finalist Jessica Reedy is #10 with From The Heart.

Le’Andria Johnson is still “double-charting” with two albums on the chart at one time. The Awakening of Le’Andria Johnson is #7, followed by The Evolution of Le’Andria Johnson at #8. Fred Hammond drops one spot with his latest album God, Love & Romance at #3.

Identity by James Fortune & FIYA is oddly the “Greatest Gainer” this week according to Billboard, even though the album remains at the same position as last week, #4. William McDowell’s Arise: The Live Worship Experience drops to #5 followed by the final album concluding our top 10 this week, Marantha! Gospel with Top 25 Gospel Songs 2012 Edition at #6.
