Week of April 07, 2012 Billboard Top Gospel Albums Chart: WOW Gospel 2012 Remains at #1, Stephen Hurd and Swoope Both Debut in Top 10

This week on Billboard we have a few new entries to the top 10 albums chart. First is the debut of two new albums, Swoope’s Wake Up at #6 and Stephen Hurd’s O That Men Would Worship at #8. Then we have Isaac Carree’s Uncommon Me re-entering the top 10 at #10 after being on the chart for 31 weeks.

Grammy Award-Winner and rumored mother-to-be, Le’Andria Johnson is still going strong on the chart with two separate albums. Her debut album, The Awakening of Le’Andria Johnson is #7 with The Evolution of Le’Andria Johnson close behind at #9.

With the exception of WOW Gospel 2012 remaining at #1, the top five albums on the chart have all switched positions. Fred Hammond’s God, Love & Romance jumps to #2, with Arise: The Live Worship Experience jumping to #3. Finally, completing the top 10 this week is James Fortune & FIYA’s Identity dropping to #4 and Maranatha! Gospel’s Top 25 Gospel Songs 2012 Edition jumping to #5.
