Secret Place: Live In South Africa is a live worship experience like no other. The extraordinary concert recording was held at the famed MOSAÏEK TEATRO in Fairland, Gauteng, South Africa (a suburb of Johannesburg). The concert incorporated the beauty, power and sounds of South Africa with a prominent sound of worship that has become Mitchell’s signature. The atmosphere and energy from the South African audience reflected the globalization of Gospel music and unifying power of worship.

It was important to not just go and record but to make the recording a collaboration among BOTH American and South African artists,” said Mitchell. South Africa’s own  popular artists Mahalia Buchanan and Shaun P joined Mitchell’s American musicians to contribute background vocals on the entire recording.
