As a professionally trained dancer and enthusiast for gospel music, Khalif Townes envisioned a platform to fuse both Gospel music and liturgical dance. Last year’s Dance Saints, Dance! was a phenomenal success and set the bar for all the shows to come. As early as a day after the show, attendees of the event began flooding the website’s guestbook with praises about their experience.
Howard from New York says, “WOW!!! This event was amazing! The dancers, Karen Clark-Sheard and Earnest Pugh. My GOD! I will be back again!!!”
Astounded by the show, Jane W. of Philadelphia says, “All I can say is WOW. I was encouraged, motivated and truly blessed by the performances. This was my first encounter with your productions and I pray you will continue to let God use you. Thank you and may the favor of God continue to be with you.”
This year is the 10th anniversary of Dance Saints, Dance! and after a decade of productions, it guarantees to top all the previous shows. Each show is highly received by attendants, guests and performers every year, but the 10thanniversary will be the production of the decade.
Prior guests to grace the show’s stage over the years include Karen Clark-Sheard, Earnest Pugh, Lonnie Hunter, Vickie Winans, Taral Hicks, CeCe McGhee and many more.
In regard to the show, Vickie Winans said, “I am a firm believer of dancing. It represents joy and triumph! One does not have to wait for the battle to be over one can dance right on through it. Dance Saints Dance was one event that I will never forget.”
