Bishop Cortez Vaughn, who recently signed a partnership agreement with Tyscot, was also on hand to accept the award for the Top Gospel Song of the Year for  J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise’s No. 1 hit  “You Deserve It.” Vaughan co-wrote the tune and co-lead the recording.

Tyscot’s 19-year old singing firebrand, Kelontae Gavin, performed on the third annual Musical Soul Food Festival in Chesapeake, VA while Cheryl Fortune brought her charm and charisma to WLOU’s annual Summer Fest concert in Louisville, KY. “She was awesome,” says WLOU Program Director, Broderick Purvis.
