It looks like Orlando Jones fooled everyone with his claim of replacing Tyler Perry as Madea in a future movie. For those who didn’t know, last week Jones released a video of him dressed as Madea and broke the news of him taking on the new role. However, Perry, who wasn’t too fond of the joke, told Sister2Sister Magazine’s Jamie Foster Brown that it was an April Fool’s joke. “That was an April Fool’s joke that HE (Jones) did. Not true. And not funny,” says Perry. “When I’m done with Madea, she is done.”

It’s kind of odd that this comes out now with Tyler Perry saying it was a April Fools joke that he had nothing to do with and that Jones did this all on his own. On April 10th I received an email from Tyler’s mailing list saying how this was going to happen. Now correct me if I’m wrong but April 10th is not April 1st. Sounds fishy to me…
