The Legendary Bishop Richard “Mr. Clean” White Receives Two Stellar Award Nominations

bishopmrcleanThe Legendary Bishop Richard “Mr. Clean” White has received two nominations for the 2014 Stellar Awards. Bishop White is nominated for Traditional Male Vocalist of the Year and Traditional CD of the Year. “I’m Glad” by Bishop “Mr. Clean” White debuted at #7 on the Billboard Charts and held its position for 3 weeks.  The CD on Flow Records was released November 06, 2012, and became the labels 10th straight top 10 placement since its inception.

Bishop White has been a mainstay in Gospel Music for over 25 years; working with legends such as Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, Rev. James Cleveland, the Winans, Dr. Bobby Jones, Walter and Edwin Hawkins, Ben Tankard, Tremaine Hawkins, Bishop Paul S. Morton and many more.  Known as an anointed preacher and a gifted singer/songwriter, his presence in Traditional Gospel Music has been felt by the body of Christ for many generations.

He served as finance chairman of the National Music Department under the leadership of the late Dr. Mattie Moss Clark for over 20 years.  He has composed approximately 300 songs and writings and continues to minister to the body of Christ to this day.  In an effort to promote Gospel Music world wide, Bishop White serves on the Board of Directors for the largest gospel music workshop in the world, “The Gospel Music Workshop of America, Inc.”
