“We are very, very sad to inform you all that we must take time off to regroup,” says Bro. Dave Davis. “It has been hard for us to move forward, but God will deliver. Stanley and Kenny will live forever in our hearts and in our music. Thank God for blessing this group with the opportunity to be heard all over the world. Keep praying and visiting the site as I will give more details in the near future. God Bless in Jesus Name.”
The Gospel Travelers of Indianapolis, Indiana (Indy) was founded by the honorable Reverend Johnny Douglas in November of 1975. The group featured the traditional, old fashioned quartet sound. Throughout the years, many of the members were called into ministry, including the Rev. Johnny Douglas. Therefore, Rev. Douglas decided to pass the torch to his son, Stanley Douglas, to take on his role in the group.
The remaining members of The Gospel Travelers of Indy after the passing of the group’s backbones, Stanley “Big Poppa” Douglas and Kenny “Daddy Love” Priestley, are:
Rodney Martin: Lead Singer, BG Singer
Randall Rosenthall: Lead Singer, Bassist, Composer, Arranger, BG Singer, Writer.
Todd Dedeaux: Keyboardist, BG Singer, Arranger, Composer.
Matt Franklin: Keyboardist, Arranger, BG Singer
Mark Fowler: Bassist, Drummer, Keyboardist, Lead Guitar, BG Vocals.
These new young men are eager to sing and play for God. The group received great reviews for their performance at the Quartet Convention in Birmingham, Alabama. They have a new sound and style of Gospel music that will enlighten all generations, young and old. Together they make a sound that speaks to your soul and will strengthen your faith.
The purpose of their ministry is to reach out to the community and show everyone that God is real. Gospel music is about spreading the love of God to those who know him, those who want to know him, and those who are in need of him. They want to represent God by singing and playing Gospel music for real, and not just for show.

I am truly saddened to hear this. But, as Christians we have to listen to God & know when he’s ordering our steps. I will continue to pray for Douglas & Priestley famalies.
