Tasha Cobbs Leonard Shares All New Single – Great God, Preps For Big Weekend In LA

Grammy® Award winner Tasha Cobbs Leonard releases her brand new song, “Great God,” for download and streaming on all digital platforms today. The new release comes in the middle of a whirlwind weekend of high-profile performances and appearances during BET Awards weekend in Los Angeles, CA. The top-selling, multiple award winning artist shared the song in advance of her ambitious third album, HEART. PASSION. PURSUIT.due out later this summer on Motown Gospel.

Perfectly suited for today’s trying times, the joyful, happy tune, “Great God” is a welcomed reminder of God’s goodness and incessant faithfulness. Written by Cobbs Leonard and produced by Kenneth Leonard, Jr.,“Great God” promises to be a congregational favorite, and is the perfect lead-in to her forthcoming album.

The newly married Cobbs Leonard launches into a weekend of performances and events during BET Awards weekend as she celebrates her second BET Award nomination for her feature on Kirk Franklin’s “My World Needs You.” She will be honored for her 2016 hit “Put A Praise On It,” at tonight’s 2017 ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards where she’ll deliver a show-stopping performance before a packed room of some of the biggest names in music.

Having premiered the single to tremendous acclaim on the nationally syndicated GET UP! Mornings with Erica Campbell, Cobbs Leonard will give her first major public performance of “Great God” when she headlines the BET Experience Celebration of Gospel Live concert this Sunday, June 25 at the LA Convention Center. That day, Tasha Cobbs Leonard will also take over the Universal Music Group Instagram page sharing a behind-the-scenes look at her BET Awards Day activities, including performances, red carpet and more.
