“This isn’t the America your parents grew up in,” Condrey says on the opening track. “America’s not what it used to be and we can’t argue about is it greater or is it not but America will be what we make it.” He cites the social stands that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Rev. Billy Graham took for racial equality back in the sixties and asks the question, “what are we going to do today in America?”
The songs graphically lay out the issues of today’s world on #America and then the hard-hitting declaration “We Declare War,” featuring Joann Rosario-Condrey and Da’ T.R.U.T.H., incites “the real Christians” to stand up and address the issues of the day. After the battle’s been fought, there’s a sincere belief that Christians can “Change The World” on the danceable track of the same name and “shine a light in the darkness. We will overcome. We will be the ones to change the world.”
The Stand Campaign is headed to New York City with new, lit music to bring hope and to inspire Americans to stand for America. The event will take place on Sunday, September 11 @2:30 PM in Herald Square Plaza in front of Macy’s at the intersection of Broadway, Sixth Avenue and 34th Street. Condrey has hosted STAND rallies – drawing thousands of participants of all ethnic and age groups – around the country for the last seven years. The 9/11 NYC rally will kick-off a national campaign that will carry the STAND Movement into key U.S. cities into 2017.
Condrey says that the core message of #TheStandCampaign is Love, Unity & Hope. He encourages likeminded people to start a #StandCampaign in their city by signing up and logging onto www.thestandcampaign.com
