Dr. F. James Clark and The Shalom Church (City Of Peace) Mass Choir of St. Louis, MO have taken the church choir experience to new heights! They are a collected unit of over 100 anointed voices, synchronized in high-spirited rhythmic cadence and soulfully unified by God whom they freely sing to and sing lovingly about.
This Midwest choir released their debut project SIMPLY AMAZING last summer and have been racking up accolades that many gospel artists and groups never attain in the beginning season of their careers. Dr. Clark and his choir released a #3 Billboard Top Gospel Album, had a Top 30 Billboard Radio Chart single, received a 2016 Stellar Award nomination and 8 Rhythm of Gospel Award nominations, all for their first recorded album project. These are very significant industry credits for a church choir and their first project.
Although decorated with music industry honors, Dr. Clark and his choir maintain their focus on ministry and impacting the world with God inspired, life changing, diverse music. Produced by Oscar Williams, Jr and directed by Shalom Minister of Music Dello Thedford, SIMPLY AMAZING has offered listeners a life-flowing sequence of contemporary worship songs, classic chorale arrangements and high-spirited traditional gospel tracks.
“I am grateful that God desired to use me as an instrument to creatively bring people to the heart of God through Gospel Music as the Minister of Music at Shalom Church City of Peace,” says Dello Thedford. “The Ministry of Shalom reflects the various genres of sacred music that we do weekly in worship and releases a sound of worship that gives glory to God that cannot be explained any better than Simply Amazing!”
Shalom’s first radio single “
We Praise Your Name” reached the Billboard Top 30 radio and became a contemporary praise anthem for many church choirs and worship teams across the country. Along with their 2016 Stellar Award nomination for Contemporary Choir of the Year, the choir was invited to bring their collective anointing and enthusiastic presentation of their song “When I Think” to Las Vegas, NV for a special performance at the Stellar Awards Pre-Show. Shalom is now releasing their second single “He’s Been Good” to gospel radio. Written by Shalom choir member Curtis Finch, Jr (American Idol Season 12 Finalist) and lead by Shalom choir member Karla White, “He’s Been Good” continues to showcase and preserve the soulful experience of great gospel music.
