Singer and Songwriter Sean Scales Heats Up Nielsen Gospel Internet Radio Chart With “I’m Blessed” Single

Songwriter Sean Scales is making his way into the gospel industry as a solo artist. The Ohio native is being compared to great vocalists old and new.  At a young age, the accomplished musician and producer began serving as music director and minister at his parent’s church Man In Christ Ministries in Columbus, OH. By the age of 18, Scales, who stands six feet four inches tall, relinquished his promising career in basketball to pursue his God-given destiny in music and ministry. In 2000, he produced and released his first gospel album SOULED OUT TO JESUS.

In addition to his own music, Scales has become a noted songwriter for some of gospel’s top vocalists.  Scales wrote and produced the hit single “Alright” sang by Lowell Pye, and the hit single “Speechless” for Monica Lisa Stevenson. Scales has also written and sung with Stellar Award-winning artist Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson contributing to his catalog of hit songs “So Satisfied”, “Just Being Me”, “Give It To Jesus” and “He Will See Me Through”.

His newest solo single “I’m Blessed” is available on iTunes and all digital music outlets now.  “I’m Blessed” has remained on the Top 30 Nielsen BDS Gospel Internet Radio Chart for 21 weeks and peaked at #2.

“I’m Blessed reminds us of how blessed we really are,” Sean says.  “At times we just go from day to day not really acknowledging the blessings we experience. This song drives home the fact that God has blessings with our name on it. We may not be all that we want to be, but we are not what we used to be.”

Sean also has a holiday EP available that delivers rock-hopping Christmas tunes and soulful seasonal ballads.  SEAN SCALES PRESENTS: A SOULFUL CHRISTMAS features six of his favorite holiday songs: “It’s Christmas Time”, “Give Your Heart”, “Simple Things”, “This Holiday”, and “Awesome To Me”.  Sean adds a duet with popular soul singer Lisa McClendon on “Christmas Night”.
