Sheilah Belle “The Belle’s” Big Gospel Weekend” Delivers a Power Packed Line Up During Perfect Picture Weather

Richmond, VA – Only days ago, the city of Richmond, just like many other parts of the country was undergoing extremely hot conditions with health alerts and reminders to stay hydrated. However on the night before the “Big Gospel Weekend,” a mighty wind blew threw the Central City, pushing out hot, humid and muggy conditions to make way for comfortable low 80 temperatures along with a cool breeze. With conditions like that, what better way to spend time outside, than listening to some of the best Gospel Music on this side of Heaven. Visionary and Executive producer of the weekend, Sheilah Belle “The Belle,” said, “The weather was truly a gift from God.”

Labeled as one of the biggest Gospel Weekends on the East Coast, thousands turned out for the two day weekend with back to back Gospel Singers who performed on both days Saturday, July 7th and Sunday, July 8th, 2018 in the heart of the city.

The East Coast Gospel Music Summer Fest kicked off the weekend at 5th Baptist Church, 1415 West Cary Street on Saturday, July 7th at 5pm with some of the best choirs on this side of Heaven as they ministered on the Gospel “CHOIR LOVE” showcase.  Special guests for the evening included Cora Harvey ArmstrongDonte’ McCutchin and Levitical Priests, JOHN FOXX & New Fellowship, Eric Waddell & The Abundant Life Singers (from Baltimore, MD), the GMWA Goochland Mass Choir, EMA Live (from Newport News, VA) and Pastor Larry Miles.

Choir Love was Co-hosted by Minister James “JayDee” Lewis and The Belle.

On Sunday, July 8th @ 5p.m, the city of Richmond 62nd Festival of the Arts once again hosted “The 9th Annual Gospel Music Fest with The Belle” in Byrd Park at Dogwood Dell.  This year’s star studded lineup included Minister Earl Bynum, G.I., Chiquita Cross, The Virginia Aires, Lee Walker & Spirit, James Johnson, John Foxx & Leviticus and Pastor Larry Miles & Fresh Anointing Cathedral Praise Ensemble.

Co-hosting the event were C Goss, Reggie B., JR Davis, Eric Phillips and Sheilah Belle “The Belle”.

The 1st East Coast Gospel Music Summer Fest, birthed in Richmond, VA July 2010, under its visionary, Sheilah Belle “The Belle” has since become a music staple in the city of Richmond and on the East Coast, and is proud to once again return to a city that has long been known for its mixture of Traditional and Quartet sounds.  Now listed as one of the largest outdoor Gospel Concerts on the East Coast, with crowds up to 12,000, the Dogwood Dell stage in Byrd Park is now set for some of the biggest names in Gospel once again.
