OGBYRG Presents India Amaree New Single “Victory”

Not since Jamie Grace and Jekalyn Carr has the world seen this type of musical effervescence from a teenager. At just 16 years old, singer and actress India Amaree, is set to make major waves in the Gospel music industry, just as her father, two time Stellar nominated artist Pastor Marlon Lock did in 2015. A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, India is a straight A student who has been singing since the age of four.

India’s latest offering Victory (released today on Juneteenth), is a fresh and timely song that is perfect for summer 2020. Although the music is infused with hip-hop and rhythm and praise, the lyrics is a juxtaposition of empowerment and self-awareness, as they boast, “What do you see when you look in the mirror, does it make you proud, the hurt and the pain, the guilt and the shame, nothing to be found. Well, I see a warrior strong and brave, the passion within you, you call it a flame, stories untold, unsung hero you’ve been broken but you need to know.” Victory is sure to be just as much of a blessing to the Baby Boomer generation as it is Generation Z.

Being an artist, especially young artist, in this day and age is no easy feat. However, India Amaree is optimistic about her artistry and takes it very serious. “I want to be an artist because I have a passion for empowering and motivating people. As I grew older, I began to realize that music is a language and a way that billions of people across the world come together to communicate, show love and express themselves, and it shows me just how much power music really has.”
