New Gospel Artist Josilyn Drake Makes National TV Debut on The WORD Network

josilynDoors have been opening for the ministry of Josilyn Drake.  The Birmingham, AL, praise and worship leader was blessed to present her song, “Keep Us Lord”, at the 2013 Gospel Music Workshop of America Convention and just a couple of months ago, she was nominated for three Rhythm of Gospel Awards for Praise & Worship Song of the Year (for “Keep Us Lord”), Worship/Praise Artist of the Year, and Best Performance by a Praise & Worship Artist.  Now the songstress will make her national television debut on Rejoice In The Word with Bishop George Bloomer on The WORD Network on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 8PM EST.

Josilyn is thrilled about the platform she’s been given to share her ministry. She says, “I am excited to have the opportunity to minister in song on The WORD Network. Since my decision to surrender and do what I felt God was leading me to do, the journey has been amazing.  I am in awe of His plan and the confidence He has in me.  I look forward to the opportunities ahead to play a part in blessing His heart and His people.”

In addition to the television appearance, Josilyn is prepping the release of a new single entitled “Worship You”.  The heartrending song is the second single from the artist’s debut record scheduled to drop in 2014.  “Worship You”, which is currently available on iTunes, will be serviced to radio stations in January.  Her first single, “Keep Us Lord”, received airplay on over 150 Gospel radio stations nationwide.

Prior to stepping out as a solo artist, singing praises to God from a choir stand was always a joy for Josilyn, but somehow, time after time, she would find herself in front of the mic.  As a choir member, she’s had the opportunity to sing behind such Gospel industry notables like Kevin Bond, Darwin Hobbs, William Murphy and Darlene McCoy.  Since launching her own ministry as a praise and worship leader, she’s appeared on WATC’s Atlanta Live, Birmingham’s ABC affiliate, WBMA-TV’s Talk Of Alabama and in the Birmingham Times.
