Music World Gospel Holds the #1, #2, and #10 Positions on Billboard’s Top Gospel Album Chart and Much More!

As we celebrate the holiday season and approach the end of the year, Mathew Knowles’ Music World Gospeldominates Billboard’s Top Gospel Album chart, holding the #1, # 2, #10, #29 and #50 positions this week. Amber Bullock’s debut project, Thank You, entered at #1, and GRAMMY® nominee Le’Andria Johnson’s The Awakening of Le’Andria Johnson, which spent eight weeks at #1, holds at #2 for six weeks. Le’Andria’s holiday CD, Christmas Best, holds at #10. Label mate and this year’s GRAMMY nominee Trin-i-tee 5:7’s current CD, Angel & Chanelle, maintains its position at #29 after spending 28 weeks on the charts. And Interface Entertainment/Music World Gospel worship leader Micah Stampley’s One Voice lands at #50.

 

“The label has had a banner year,” said Mathew Knowles, founder, President and CEO of Music World Gospel. “We have demonstrated significant growth and had several major artist signings this year. In 2012, we are expanding the label’s release schedule to include over 45 new releases. We have other faith-based acquisitions that we will be announcing in the coming months.” This year, Music World Gospel experienced a 115 plus percent revenue increase from 2010, and the label moved to the Top 5 on the Gospel Album Labels chart from #9 in 2010 on Billboard‘s Year-End charts.

This year’s GRAMMY nominees Trin-i-tee 5:7 and Le’Andria Johnson led the way on Billboard‘s Year-End charts. Their current CD projects, The Awakening of Le’Andria Johnson and Angel & Chanelle landed at #7 and #13 respectively on the Gospel Albums chart. Le’Andria and Trin-i-tee 5:7 were listed at #8 and #10 respectively on the Gospel Albums Artists chart. And Trin-i-tee 5:7’s hit single, “Over and Over” came in at #9 on the Gospel Songs chart, and the song producer,  PJ Morton lands at #8 on the Gospel Songs Producers chart.
