Motown Gospel Signs Gospel Hall of Fame Member Paul Porter

PaulPorter_PressImageMotown Gospel is joining with TreMyles Music and Mars On Sunday to sign Gospel Hall of Fame Member Paul Porter.  Porter, a founder and former lead singer of the beloved Gospel Quartet, The Christianaires, is a multi-award-winning vocalist and songwriter.  A new studio album is slated for release in Fall 2013, while the first single “,F.R.E.E,” featuring GRAMMY-winner Smokie Norful, will debut in June 2013.

“I’m very excited to play a part in continuing the Paul Porter legacy!” says Norful, who owns TreMyles Music, a joint venture with Motown Gospel.  “Paul has been an incredible source of great music and has a powerful voice.  His story of endurance and perseverance coupled with the new music is going to make this a great partnership.”

The upcoming ten-song project is crafted by the Grammy Awarding winning production duo producers Blac Elvis (Beyoncé, Jamie Fox, Fergie) and songwriter Harold Lilly (Alicia Keys, Ruben Studdard, Beyoncé).  While the project has a more urban touch, the songs are filled with Porter’s inspired messages and unmistakable vocals.

“Paul Porter is one of the most influential Gospel artists of today,” says Blac Elvis. “With me and Harold Lilly combining our creative talents with Paul’s vocal skills and abilities, he is sure to gain new fans and add to his legacy”.
