Mary Mary’s New Single “SURVIVE” Is The #1 Most Added At Urban AC Radio

Mary Mary continues to do big things with Something Big (My Block/Columbia /Sony Music), the group’s newest project, which was released at the end of March.  Having hit the Top 5 at Urban AC radio with the album’s lead single, “Walking,” the ladies have instantly broken new ground with their follow-up to the format—“Survive.”

In its first week, Mary Mary’s “Survive” has been named the #1 Most Added song at Urban AC radio, with a whopping 29 markets picking up the single!  A mellow groove with an old school vibe, “Survive” encourages listeners that they will do just that.

In the midst of so much tragedy and pain that we are experiencing as a nation—tornados and floods, economic strain and much more—this song resonates with the masses, reminding listeners that we have what it takes to survive these times.

Hours after receiving the news about the #1 spot of “Survive,” Mary Mary learned that they have again been nominated in the ‘Best Gospel’ category for the 2011 BET Awards.  This is the chart-topping sister duo’s 9^th nomination in this category and follows their 2009 win of the prestigious honor.
