Mary Mary kicked off their album promo week with an interview on ABC’s Good Morning America with host Robin Roberts and an exhilarating in-studio performance, backed by their live band of ‘Go Get It.’ The ladies rounded out their promo week with appearances on nationally syndicated morning show, The Better Show, Trinity Broadcasting Network’s Praise the Lord, and NYC’s PIX 11 Morning News.
Pundits agree; Go Get It proves that Mary Mary is here to stay. USA Today states “Sisters Erica and Tina have been delivering faith-inspired positive messages for more than a dozen years…Go Get It is a stirring call to improve your life…Can’t Give Up Now and Shackles are reminders of their broad appeal.” Billboard Magazine notes GO GET IT as “an insinuating groove and a gloriously uplifting lyric that urges the listener to “Go Get It…” Billboard goes on to say that “sisters Erica & Tina have managed to enjoy a devoted following in the gospel market while expanding its fan base in the mainstream thanks to the duo’s funky energetic style and signature soaring vocals.”
The duo, sisters Erica and Tina Campbell have been keeping up a tremendous pace. In the past year the ladies have been nominated for every major award and have taken home many – receiving the prestigious ASCAP Golden Note Award, a BET Award, Soul Train Award, two Stellar Awards and double Grammy nominations. In addition to filming the first season of their reality series which takes a personal look at their lives as singers, mothers, wives, and siblings – trying to balance it all; both sisters experienced pregnancy within the past year. Erica and husband/producer Warryn Campbell welcomed their third child in February 2012 and Tina and husband/Tonight Show Band drummer Teddy Campbell, are currently expecting their 5th child due August 2012.
Having just announced Season 2 of their WE tv series the ladies are showing no signs of slowing down. The duo will be honored at this year’s 2012 Essence Music Festival and will be touring in the coming months. The album Go Get It was released, May 8th 2012 and is available now in stores and online.

I so want to be glad for these ladies but I cannot help (as a believer in Christ) be concerned with the motivation behind their music. From their interviews to their reality show, these ladies clearly are about their own agenda. Their take on Gospel music, which is sharing and LIVING the TRUE message of Jesus, is non-existent! How can they share Christ while holding hands with Satan? They LOVE the things of this world! Where is the separation? Erica and Tina are “boldly” engaging in activities that do not uphold the standard of God. Blending in is a huge “no, no”; God is NOT equal to the gods of this world.
These statements are not about judgement but admonishment so their soul can one day see the glory of Jesus. In the book of Timothy, it speaks about those having a “form of godliness” but denying the power of God. Erica and Tina, I believe have embraced this concept in order to sell albums, fit in with their peers, and gain accolades. To those reading this post, know that people can be fooled but God is “fully aware” of those pretending to represent His Holy name.
I will continue praying for these ladies and their families…Peace & Grace

@ Maria I totally AGREE with your statement! I was appalled to hear that they had a reality show and that their main goal is to sell records and win as many Grammys as they can and to appear and perform on the Grammys. No mention of saving souls for Christ or nothing mentioned that their ministry is to glorify Christ and help build His kingdom. They are definitely sending the WRONG message to the younger generation and the babes in Christ.
The apparel they wear is also inappropriate and they are supposed to be Christian women and representing the body of Christ…in my opinion. Not setting a good example for young ladies.
Be blessed!!!

Erica and Tina Campbell are just showing the world that you can have a good time and praise the Lord at the same time. Their songs are reaching the unreachable. Their show is just an inside look at what is REALLY going on. They have temptations just like us, but I love their show. I enjoy that they are keeping it 100 and showing that they have to struggle every day just like the rest of us Christians to keep God first.
If you look at the history of gospel music, you will see that there were artists in every generation that took the “worldly” music and brought it into church to touch that UNREACHABLE group to tell them about a God who can save. Don’t hate on God using them “outside the box” to reach the ones that NEED to be saved.

I think their music is all about the beat and the worldly moves that the (as you say) the UNREACHABLE enjoys. Just because they draw a crowd just not mean they are “saving souls”. When their music is played on the secular stations there is NO mention of God being gloried; it’s all about the title of the song and the beats they have. However, I hear what they say, but ONLY GOD knows their heart.
