Kimberly Lock Challenges Women to Look into the Spiritual Mirror with New Book, “Who You Callin’ Silly?”

Debuting her brand new novel, Who You Callin’ Silly, first time author Kimberly Lock challenges women to look into the spiritual mirror. A Christian book unlike any other, Lock has written an engaging and thought-provoking bible study about the nature of unconditional love, forgiveness, feminine strength, and power.

As Lock states, “There’s no need to be ashamed of past mistakes…The beauty of it all is that Christ accepts us as we are and forgives us. The key is YOU have to be willing to forgive yourself.” By using her personal life and experiences as a prime example, Lock encourages women to harness their feminine strength and have power over past silly experiences.

Lock guides other women to the path of virtuousness through the three sections of her book titled: All my Single Ladies, “I’s Married Na!”, and Every Woman. Not only does Lock provide an in-depth and thoughtful analysis that can lead any silly woman back on the path to virtuousness, but also she provides interactive and introspective “Virtuous Assessments” for her readers to complete.

A witty, wise and contemporary Christian-centered plan for releasing women from yesterday’s mistakes to show them the value in themselves today, and a hope-filled tomorrow. In this step-by-step guide, author Kimberly Lock leads women out of the spiritual and emotional wilderness into a place of strength and self-confidence.

While helping her husband to run Unity Gospel House of Prayer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Lock discovered countless women yearning to be responsible and God-fearing, yet lacking the tools necessary to escape the traps from their past. “Silly” women are weak, irresponsible and easily taken advantage of; virtuous women are wise and blaze their own righteous path.

Sharing her own personal experiences and those of others, Lock gives readers, both single and married, a plan grounded in the ageless wisdom of the Bible, yet geared toward the issues and pitfalls of modern-day life. Timely topics she covers include:

  • Commitment: Being responsible and conducting yourself appropriately in word and deed.
  • Parenting: How to act as a role model and thus train children to value life, respect themselves and others and trust in the Lord.
  • Honoring Vows: Working at your marriage even through difficult times, yet recognizing a dangerous situation and learning how to get out of it safely and permanently.

Virtuous assessments at the end of each chapter give readers assignments lasting 12 weeks–the optimum amount of time to turn a habit into a behavior. Sprinkled throughout are biblical quotations that lead readers to see that by believing and trusting in God, they shall find ultimate salvation and never have to walk life’s path alone.

Currently, Lock assists her husband in the business aspects of running the Unity Gospel House of Prayer (UGHOP) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which has several thousand members. In addition, she is a soloist in the choir and a member of the church’s praise Dance Team. Kimberly also manages UGHOP’s Website, Facebook page and Twitter account, which broadcast weekly messages of spiritual encouragement. She is also the mother of five children.
