Kelontae Gavin’s “No Ordinary Worship” Gains Highest Performance Position To-Date On Multiple Billboard Charts

Rising 19 year-old superstar Kelontae Gavin’s single “No Ordinary Worship,” which is written and produced by TedyP and star maker, Marquis Boone gains highest performance position to-date on Billboard Gospel Airplay and Hot Gospel Songs chart.

In the July 21st issue of the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart“No Ordinary Worship”saw a 16.2% increase peaked at No. 12 (up from #14) with a 1.21 million listenership and +104 spins making it the 2nd Most Increased Song at Gospel Radio this week. The song has maintained a Top 20 position at radio for 15 weeks.

In the same issue in the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart (highlights the most popular Gospel songs, which is ranked by radio airplay audience impressions, sales data and streaming activity lands) the song also peaked at No. 12 (up from #13). This week, “No Ordinary Worship” has generated over 212K on-demand streams with a 21.6% increase (1.8m ATD).

Additionally, “No Ordinary Worship” saw an 8% sales increase in the Billboard Gospel Digital Song Sales chart marking its 8th consecutive week in the Top 10.The song is the lead single from Gavin’s debut live project THE HIGHER EXPERIENCE (MBE/Tyscot), which released on April 27th (http://smarturl.it/mxy2bp). The project debuted at #2 in Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart, #16 on the Independent Albums chart and #94 on the Top Albums chart.

The Stellar-Award nominated singer rose to stardom when a 2014 YouTube video of him singing the faith-filled classic “I Won’t Complain”went viral. Moved by his passion and rich vocals, a cafeteria worker at his high school, recorded the song —unbeknownst to Gavin—and posted it online. The video went viral and amassed over one million YouTube views within days and catapulted the young singer’s Gospel music career.
