Jokia Debut “Not Forgotten” EP Scores Multiple Chart Entries

Gospel music has a new shooting star with JOKIA who is bringing a fresh, new sound to the genre. Her new six-song EP entitled, “Not Forgotten,” is now available on all major digital service providers. The project was produced by renowned producer Jeshua “TedyP” Williams (Bri (aka Briana Babineaux), Jor’dan Armstrong, Micah Stampley) and it features JOKIA’s hot new radio single, “The Father Lives In Us (T.F.L.I.U.).”

Last week, Jokia entered the Nielsen Soundscan and GMA Gospel Sales Chart at #4, Nielsen Soundscan and GMA Christian and Gospel Sales Chart at #38, Billboard Top Christian Sales Chart at #26, Billboard Top Christian and Gospel Sales Chart at # 29, and #7 on the Billboard Heatseekers South Central Chart.
JOKIA’s sound has been described as an intense feeling of joy when she opens her mouth to serenade her audiences. Listeners say they can feel her heart as she walks them through her journey of faith with her superb vocals and her acoustic guitar.
“The Father Lives In Us,” is currently No. 57 on the Nielsen BDS Gospel Airplay Chart and moving up. JOKIA is currently on a radio tour promoting the new single and EP throughout the in the Eastern, Mid-Atlantic, and Southern regions of the country.
An Army veteran from Belton, TX, JOKIA picked up the guitar during her eight-month tour of duty in Europe. After her military discharge, she began to focus on her music even more and her performances began to garner attention that ha sled her to opening for several of gospel’s most popular performers. “I want to be known as a worshipper and I want listeners to feel freed by grace when they hear my music,” the singer says.
“Not Forgotten,” is surely putting JOKIA on the map and it will not be soon forgotten.
