JJ Hairston talks about New Album “You Deserve It” and The Bloody Win Tour

While at the 2017 Stellar Awards Weekend in Las Vegas, JJ Hairston took time to talk with uGospel.com during the ASCAP breakfast about his new single, New Album and also the Bloody Win Tour. Checkout interview below:

Meanwhile, You Deserve It, the sixth album from JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise, continues to soar high on the Billboard Gospel charts. The album is currently sitting at #4 on the Billboard Gospel Top Albums Chart; the single “You Deserve It,” is currently sitting at #1 on the Gospel Digital Sales Chart and #2 on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart. The excitement created by the album’s self-titled first single has translated into a highly anticipated national tour with Hairston and his contemporary Tye Tribbett. Both men are set to embark on the “Bloody Win Tour;” kicking off in Orlando this weekend.

The album You Deserve It is available everywhere now and was recorded live at City of Praise Ministries in Hyattsville, MD (where Hairston is the director of music and arts). The 18-track project boasts new recordings of Youthful Praise’s biggest hits alongside new songs with guest artists including Grammy® Award nominated singer, songwriter and producer, Travis Greene.

Formed in 1991 out of Faith Temple in Bridgeport, CT, Youthful Praise was originally known as Teens of TFT and served as the choir for the church, pastored by Bishop J.C. White and Evangelist Gloria White. JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise is known for their Top Ten gospel radio hits such as “After This,” “Resting on His Promises,” “Incredible God, Incredible Praise,” “Bless Me” and “You’re Mighty.”
