Jason M. Hardy began his journey professionally in Gospel music at the age of 18 while a student studying music business and management at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston. While attending Berklee, Hardy became a member of the then New Covenant Christian Church (now Jubilee Christian Church) where he met gospel recording artist Freda Battle one Sunday after church, where she served as Minister of Music.
Freda Battle President of Gospel Label Axiom Records at the time (Freda Battle & The Temple Worshippers, Witness, Ashmont Hill) afforded Jason M. Hardy his first opportunity in the gospel music industry by securing him a position as a Label Representative, which he held from 2004 – 2007.
Under Freda Battle’s close direction Hardy became privy to an invaluable gospel music industry experience and began honing his skills in Marketing, Promotions and Public Relations.
Jason M. Hardy’s abilities combined with his own work as a singer and college student distinguished him as an industry professional who understood the music industry from mostly every angle. He also gained artistic media experience as a production assistant for Black Entertainment Television’s syndicated program “Lift Every Voice”.
Additionally from 2004-2007 Jason M. Hardy joined Freda’s national recording group Freda Battle and The Temple Worshippers. He recorded and traveled across the Country and Internationally.
To make full use of his unique background, Jason M. Hardy relocated to Nashville in October 2007, a city known for its music and spirit to upstart his company the J. Hardy Agency. The agency provide services to independent and national recording artists, record labels, organizations and personalities.
Jason M. Hardy initially launched it’s Field Marketing Division in 2007, which has emerged as an industry leader working and coordinating various campaigns for an array of Recording Artists, Industry Professionals, and Record Labels.
A clientele roster that consisted of GRAMMY® Award Winning Pop/Gospel Artist Regina Belle, Grammy®-nominated recording artist Marvin Sapp, Stellar Award winning recording artists Vashawn Mitchell and Stephen Hurd, Stellar nominated artist Preashea Hillard, EMI Gospel, Sony Music Entertainment, Habbakuk Music, the Bellamy Group (Benita Bellamy), I Hear Music, Inc. (Tracey Artis), Sovereign Agency (Monica Bacon), Rushmoredrive.com (Johnny C. Taylor, Jr.) among many others.
In 2009 Jason M. Hardy expanded his company with the addition of a Public Relations division. To date the company has coordinated various campaigns and events, which includes recording artists Freda Battle & The Temple Worshippers, Kenn Orr, Carl Brister, Lance Williams & The True Worship Retreat, Notes On the Red: Fusing Faith & Fashion Stellar Awards event, I.M.A.C. Conference Stellar Awards Weekend, Tyrone Goodman’s “What Shall I Do” Regional Touring Stage-Play, among others.
